Week of December 13-19

Brothers and sisters:
Rejoice in the Lord always.
I shall say it again:  rejoice!
Your kindness should be known to all.
The Lord is near.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7
 

Sometimes all we need are gentle reminders to encourage us on our way.
 

This Sunday’s Reading from Paul’s Letters to the Philippians says it all. Please print out a copy of this letter. Place it on your computer screen, on your TV screen, on your car seat, at the dinner table, in your coat pocket… whatever you’ve got to do to remind yourself in these very holy words of encouragement.
 

Once you start believing this, you will have successfully allowed God into your life… and when that happens, we don’t have any idea where that freedom will take us!
 

So, please, renew yourself in God’s love and the rest will work itself out.
